Yelagiri Trip Memories!

Yelagiri Trip Memories!
Leena Ruban

I remember my loving husband romantically kissing my hands as we drove down the highway and as we spoke

I remember the thrilling hair pin bends as we sped up the mountain reaching the cherry top with  undiscovered treats awaiting us

I remember my husband praising me for getting such good accommodation at "Temple Tree Inn" for just a meager amount. The place was scenic and pleasant, perched among beautiful trees and hills.

I remember my dear husband and I spending a romantic day under covers to recover from the long drive.

I remember the "outing" day where we visited a well planned garden where we took some good photos together, we had a little adventure walking on broken bamboo shoots acting as a bridge to an elevated hut.

I remember the boating scene, where we spent time enjoying the scenery and took photos in choice spots.

I remember my loving husband's treat in Nigres hotel where we had tandoori chicken since he knew that's my favorite dish.

I remember after lunch we went to fundora bird park. This is indeed a special memory where we saw many different kinds of birds but the speciality was the "Aviary" where the birds perched on us and ate bird food, it was a unique experience holding the birds in our hands and they seemed to like my husband better since they flocked to him.

I remember the next day our last day we drove to Vellore and on the way we had good tasting biriyani for very less. Then we had a scenic drive through the mountains, the paddy fields and the trees to the water falls.

I understood the importance of the "shared" experiences, the laughter, the giggles, the heart to heart talks, the kisses, the intimacy all these building blocks of relationships and that makes our honeymoon special and memorable. Thank you my loving husband for our first honeymoon experience.

Shalom,
Samuel Machado
