They all wept as they embraced him and kissed him.

Acts 20:37

Both in the Epistles of the Apostles and the Book of Acts, we find the culture of "Jewish Kissing" imbibed.

When Apostle Paul was heading towards Rome, he was met by few believers who both embraced him and kissed him to bid farewell.

They knew in their hearts; it would be the "Last Moment" with Paul on Earth.....

For they had heard the LORD witness to them; through the Prophet Agabus about Paul's coming Persecution in Rome...

Their love for their fellow brother and Apostle Paul was expressed through their embraces and kisses.

Why don't we have such expressions today?

It's simple. Church lacks in love. Church has to be taught to love.

It lacks the love like Christ showed. How pathetic and void has it become!

Repent and Pray!

Return to your First Love! Rev 2:4

And Paul never forgets to mention it again and again in his letters.

He encouraged the believers to love each other and to greet one other with a holy kiss.

All the brothers and sisters here send you greetings. 

Greet one another with a holy kiss. 1 Corinthians 16:20

Greet one another with a holy kiss.

2 Corinthians 13:12

Greet all God’s people with a holy kiss.

1 Thessalonians 5:26

And Apostle Peter also mentions it in his epistle.

He calls it a "Kiss of Love". 

What he means is, the Kiss inspired by the Love of Christ within our hearts.

Our Kisses should not be like the World, it should be like His Word. It should be sweet and loving.

"Greet one another with a kiss of love. Peace to all of you who are in Christ."

1 Peter 5:14

Church! We don't hear sermons on these lines, for we are astounded at certain salutations.

We need to be clean and pure within to see things in it's right perspective.

And when we continually cleanse us in the precious blood of the lamb who will convict and cleanse us for His Glory.

Then, We will truly grasp of what it is to be "Holy" in Kissing. Psalms 51:10,11
