We live in an age, where our prayers mean mere earthliness and soulish satisfaction. 

James 5:16 is often quoted or claimed to be on the "tool to be used list".

Elijah, a righteous prayed and our LORD answered.

It's inspiring indeed. 

Yet, we don't cave into the truth.

What did Elijah pray for?

What was the outcome of his prayer?

Have you ever pondered on it?

Elijah, a man like us prayed, claims James the Apostle.

Yet, we have not seen the secret of a righteous heart.

The Prayer of Elijah brought drought and death into the land which had forgotten Christ.

Did you hear it? What did a righteous man plead for?

Yes! He prayed for famine in the flesh.

He pledged heavens to shut the supply.

He called out to GOD for a stern discipline. Smite Us! He said.

In essence, He wanted to see the land revive and return to GOD the Maker and Husband of Israel.

Do you pray like Elijah? Are you a Christian consecrated to the Cross of Christ?

Have you ever come across it in your heart which is a product of intimacy with the LORD?

Church! It is in the lack, Our hearts hunger to know the real fullness. I hope it's agreed.

Elijah understood the secret for revival, when he paid attention to the godless, complacent, religious lives of the nation.

And when he did, he raised up his voice for famine, which was in the heart of GOD. It was answered instantly. It was righteous in the eyes of GOD. Didn't it?

The land moaned. The flocks perished.

Men and Women begged for food.

Israel was made an abomination in the eyes of all her aliens.

What did the surrounding nations say in it's time?

The King of Israel was angry to death. What can i compare it with today?

He chased the prophet, when he should have repented to GOD.

The Young and the Old suffered.

But, the Hand of GOD was revealed.

Do you capture the "Heart of GOD" in the Prayer of Elijah?

Church! Pay attention! Learn from Elijah, the righteous man.

Our LORD shall answer the prayer of every righteous man till time lasts.

Now, What are you going to pray for?
