When Discipleship Fails!!!

Discipleship is the most vital or valiant part of the Great Commission handed over to the Church. Matt 28:19,20. Though this long neglected part has come back to life, it will not attain its fullness if not dealt dynamically.
Discipleship will fail when a husband alone is discipled at home. It means the wife and the kids are not part of the transformation process. We miss a crucial part here. Ephesians 5:22-26
Discipleship is a radical claim and it’s like walking on water (on the Word of God). If a follower fails to recognize the voice of the Lord and walk on His word, the person’s knowledge on discipleship will avail nothing. John 10.27
A Disciple without a vision or revelation of His call and purpose in the body of Christ will go nowhere. The discipleship process should teach a person to live a life of vision and purpose. It means he lives a family, communal live with a Christ inspired vision. Prov 29:18, Hos 4:6
Discipleship’s essence should often be to make Christ centered homes ahead of the Churches. Homes should precede the family of families structure. When the homes are aligned to the Word, the whole Church will be made aligned and perfect. If the order is reversed, the repercussions can be devastating. It would produce divisions and fatigue. 1 Cor 11:3, Eph 5:23
Discipleship is proven effective only when the Holy Ghost is allowed to work in His fullness and liberty. If our books alone can, it makes only a bunch of head-haughty Christians. Romans 8:14, John 16:13
Discipleship’s purpose is to build a Christ filled community with His principles and purpose. It is the only Lord’s design to manifest His manifold wisdom to the world through His Church. Ephesians 3:10. If the produce is not the intended, we have erred in listening to the Holy One.
Discipleship is not an option but a necessity. If it’s a necessity it’s as vital as a blood transfusion. If neglected, it will be a developing cancer leaving the next generation bleak. One can’t be half-serious about discipleship. Gal 2:20
Discipleship claims are declarations of Christ call with His conditions. No secret terms and conditions. Not our own wisdom and conditions. Luke 14:26, Matt 10:37-39
Discipleship’s aim is to glorify Christ in all the frontiers of life. It doesn’t ignore any space. From Schools to Prisons, from harbors to Harford we need discipleship. John 13:34,35
Discipleship is an inter - woven design to emanate the love of Christ in its Holy Purity and Piety. If the process of Church life or discipleship lacks to produce this essential ingredient, we are heading to a disaster. Matt 22:37-39, John 15:12
We are not only called to enjoy or fulfill the whole process but to bring forth our Lord in every person involved.
And falling short of it, is falling short of the Great Commission.
Let’s do the discipleship His way.
